Treat/ special food/ supplement for nursing mama kitty?
Hello,
I am fostering a mama kitty and her new-born 2 week old kittens for a rescue group. I have been provided with Iams Kitten food – the dry kind in the bag and Iams canned wet food. She gets the dry out all day and one can of wet food 3 times a day.
I need to know if it’s a good idea to make something special for her – like scrambled eggs or a tuna/egg/etc smoothie warmed for her. Just thinking it would be nice/ a good idea to give her and through her milk, the kittens some good stuff and am not sure if it’s a good idea and what is good and bad to feed her other than the Iams stuff.
If I was richer I would buy the good high quality food for her but I’m not 
but I will do what I can!
Sounds like you’re doing just fine, mom can use the extra calories while she’s nursing. I don’t think you need to change a thing, but a little canned tuna or scrambled egg isn’t going to hurt anything either.
